What type of dirt do you use in the beds, and where do you get it? I have used supersoil, but haven’t been very pleased.
Here is the list of needed materials. It recommends a compost mix for soil, and I recommend using The Good Earth on Highway 10.
Material List for 2 4′ x 8′ (16″) Garden Beds
96 board feet of 2″ x 8″ untreated cedar, 8′
28 board feet of 4″ x 4″ untreated cedar, 8′
100 (1lb) #20 3″ wood screws
200 sq. ft landscape fabric
40 4″ steel landscape fabric pins
10 3″ x 3″ 8′ landscape timbers
20 1/2″ x 1′ rebar pins (#4)
1.5 cubic yards pea gravel
3 cubic yards compost mix (soil)
For the 2 Greenhouses…
6 10′ X 1/2″ pvc pipe
24 metal pipe clamps
50 (1/2lb) #20 3″ wood screws
1 roll 16′ x 50′ 1.5 mil Visqueen
24 plastic ties
12 bricks/other heavy weights
I got a mix of supersoil, peat, worm castings, and compost from Good Earth.
